About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Shop Supervisor to join our team in the Dairy Shop, working alongside our current supervisor. Between you, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the shop, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
This role also supports our Fruit & Veg Shop, with each supervisor having focus areas but working closely together as one team. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the shops — from leading the team and keeping everything organised, to jumping in and role-modelling daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Dairy Shop, supporting the Fruit & Veg Shop as required.
- Lead, motivate, and support the shop team to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain exceptional shop presentation — including cleaning, tidying, and restocking.
- Manage cash handling and daily till operations accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Work collaboratively with the other Shop Supervisor to share responsibilities and ensure smooth running of both shops.
- Support stock control, ordering, and merchandising.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous retail experience, ideally in a supervisory role.
- Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail.
- A proactive, “muck in” attitude — happy to lead by example.
- Enjoys keeping things clean and tidy
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload.
- A good sense of humour and ability to enjoy some friendly banter with the team.
- Confident in cash management and shop procedures.
- Flexible and reliable, able to work every other full weekend and some evenings until 7pm.
Hours & Flexibility
- Full-time preferred (4–5 days per week).
- Must be available to work alternate full weekends.
- Some shifts will finish at 7pm.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.91 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37 per week
