This role of Facilities Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the mechanical and electrical systems in our production and warehousing facilities, as well as supporting and implementing continuous improvement projects.
This role is also responsible for maintaining and optimizing all Facilities electrical systems, as well as supporting the engineering department when required. You will support Facilities operations at the Andover site by conducting planned plant maintenance activities as well as reactive works for the facilities electrical requests, while ensuring safety and quality behaviours.
Please note this is 12 months, fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrically qualified engineer to work on electrical equipment, controls and maintenance tasks.
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance activities, recording and reporting all relevant data and information to ensure compliance.
- Work cross functionally within the facilities team and with other organization to identify and systematically solve problems.
- Identify and implement improvement actions across the site.
- Support in refining the electrical equipment maintenance strategies through quality problem solving and implementation of best practice maintenance techniques.
- Deliver performance and improvement initiatives against agreed maintenance and operations KPI’s.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities/manufacturing engineering.
- Apprentice trained electrical engineer.
- At minimum C&G/NVQ3 in electrical/mechanical engineering.
- Excellent working knowledge of facilities engineering equipment – hard services.
