Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Export Administrator to join our operations admin team working for a market leader within the automotive sector, Universal Components UK, based in Hoyland, Barnsley.
The hours of work would be 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday on shift basis between 06:00 and 19:00
Experience
- Excel and Word knowledge and experience is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a cheerful outlook to working solely and within a team.
- Adapt to new challenges in an ever changing and demanding market.
- Highly organised with exceptional diligence.
- Resolute and punctual.
- An understanding of inbound delivery handling is desired but not essential.
- Ideally have global export experience including post Brexit Northern Ireland.
- Have worked with local chamber of commerce for added documentation or certifications.
- An understanding of duties and incoterms.
- Trader Support Service (TSS) knowledge for Ireland input desired, but not essential.
- Language(s) desired, but not essential.
Duties
- Manage all shipping administration to make sure our consignments are fulfilled on time.
- Prepare commercial invoices and relevant documents for transit of goods.
- Producing all export documentation in line with UK custom export requirements.
- Consult with carriers and chamber to ensure goods are efficiently dispatched with cost and service being considered.
- Feedback all issues with internal customers on delays and commercial price or duty queries.
- Provide routine administration support to the operations team when needed, this will include learning new skills within the business including goods inwards.
- To become an integral part of the Operations Administration team and a valued multiskilled team member.
