Our Client is a trusted and forward-thinking freight forwarder providing comprehensive logistics services worldwide. As we continue to grow our export operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Air Export Clerk to join our team and help us deliver excellence to our clients.
Job Summary:
The Air Export Clerk will be responsible for managing the full cycle of air export shipments, ensuring compliance with international regulations and delivering outstanding customer service. This role is essential in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant air cargo movements across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage air export shipments from booking through final departure
- Prepare and process export documentation including HAWB/MAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
- Liaise with airlines, ground handling agents, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth export operations
- Ensure accurate data entry into freight management systems
- Book cargo space with airlines and manage routing options
- Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates to clients
- Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs requirements, and company policies
- Resolve issues such as delays, missing paperwork, or discrepancies quickly and efficiently
- Maintain proper files and documentation for audit and tracking purposes
Requirements:
- Experience in air freight export operations within a freight forwarding environment (1–2 years preferred)
- Familiarity with export documentation, customs processes, and international regulations (e.g., IATA, CAA, AES)
- Proficiency with logistics or freight forwarding systems (e.g., CargoWise, ASM, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
