Role Overview
As a 360 Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating plant machinery efficiently and safely to carry out groundworks tasks on high-spec residential construction sites. You will be expected to work to tight tolerances with minimal supervision, often in sensitive or restricted environments, where attention to detail and respect for the wider site are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 360-degree excavators (above and/or below 10 tonnes, depending on certification) to complete:
- Excavations for footings and foundations
- Trenching for drainage and utilities
- Grading and levelling
- Bulk muck shifting
- Lifting operations using appropriate lifting accessories
- Work closely with the groundworks team to support site preparation and progress.
- Ensure daily checks and maintenance of machines are carried out and logged.
- Work within site boundaries and in line with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Follow directions from site supervisors and read site drawings where required.
- Carry out digging and shaping with a high degree of accuracy to meet architectural and engineering specifications.
- Contribute to the overall smooth running of the groundworks team and wider site activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators on groundworks projects, ideally within high-end residential construction.
- Valid CPCS or NPORS card for 360 excavator (essential).
- Experience with lifting operations and use of lifting accessories (desirable).
- CSCS card (essential).
- Good understanding of site safety and safe working practices.
- Ability to work to precise tolerances and follow site levels/markings accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).

Pay: £160.00-£200.00 per day
