Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with established policies. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. Salary dependant on experience and responsibilities undertaken.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process accounts payable, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Utilise accounting software such as or Xero for daily operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
