Role Purpose
Proactively lead and manage event service delivery. Ensure that a consistently high quality of service is provided to clients and assist the Food and Beverage Manager in the organisation & delivery of catering facilities for conference, wedding & function clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and set-up function and meeting rooms to the required standard prior to an event commencing as per the client’s needs and manage any last minute requests.
· Liaise and manage communication with all external contractors; Door Security, DJ, Wedding Registrar.
· Provide a comprehensive Meet & Greet service to all clients, relay and carry out any daily 'health checks' and H&S information.
· Provide pro-active technical support for all client IT requirements
· Care for and maintain all conference and function room equipment to the required standard reporting any maintenance defects where necessary
· Supervise and manage the Food and Beverage team in order to deliver a high standard of presentation and service for weddings, conferences and events.
· Proactively identify and recommend to Food and Beverage Manager opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
· Work with Events Operation Team, to ensure efficient communication of all information regarding wedding, and event bookings.
· Ensure that the hotel operates with due diligence complying with all Health & Safety, Food Safety, Licensing and Civil Marriages regulations/procedures.
· Ensure the required security procedures for cash, equipment and the premises are adhered to at all times.
· To undertake other reasonable responsibilities and projects as instructed by their line manager.
Key skills and knowledge:
Essential:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience at supervisor level in a 3 or 4 star catering establishment.
· Extensive knowledge of Hotel, Wedding and Events environment.
· Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and licensing legislation.
· Ability to train/coach staff.
Desirable:
· Licensees certificate
· Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
· Degree level or equivalent vocational qualification in Hotel & Catering or Events
· Leadership qualities
· Commercial awareness.
· Customer focused
· Able to work on own initiative.
· Ability to prioritise, organise and delegate.
· Good interpersonal & communication skills.

Pay: £28,571.40 per year
