NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The shift pattern is Day/Mon – Thurs 08.00 – 16.00 & 08.00 – 15.30 Fri.

The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring the seamless delivery of Estates services enabling the provision of safe quality patient care.
The post holder is part of a team of Estates managers who are professionally responsible for meeting the organisations key objectives, for the delivery of patient care by the provision of effective, efficient and safe operation & maintenance of estates services, systems and budgetary resource, in compliance with statutory requirements & mandatory NHS Healthcare standards & guidelines, for the day to day operational activities of the Estates Department, technical & managerial control of directly employed and specialist contract staff, and to manage delegated capital projects.
This is a highly specialist post with a high level of expertise is required to effectively deliver the service within a multi-discipline estate function.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
