Beaulieu Settled Estate - Estate Maintenance Operative - Woods/Forestry
£25,604 per annum, 40 hrs per week, ON-SITE role.
Location: Beaulieu, New Forest, Hampshire SO24

Role:
Beaulieu Estates Ltd is a historic and diverse rural estate located in the heart of the New Forest. The Estate is committed to sustainable woodland management, conservation, and the maintenance of both natural and built environments. We are looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Estate Maintenance Operative – Woods/Forestry to join our dedicated forestry and estate maintenance team. This is a practical, outdoor-based role focusing on woodland and forestry operations, estate maintenance, and conservation tasks. The successful candidate will work across a varied landscape carrying out tree work, vegetation management, fencing, and other land-based duties.
Key Responsibilities:
· Woodland & Forestry:
· Tree felling, planting, pruning, and woodland plantation maintenance
· High pruning and roadside tree work assistance
· Support with tree surgery operations
· Habitat and conservation management
· Pest and invasive species control
· Vegetation & Estate Grounds:
· Hedge cutting, mowing, and brush cutting
· Hedge planting and seasonal maintenance
· Knapsack spraying (PA1 & PA6 required)
· Installation and repair of domestic and agricultural fencing and gates
· Additional & Seasonal Duties:
· Garden and grounds maintenance
· Tractor and telehandler operation (if qualified)
· Portable sawmilling and timber processing
· Ragwort pulling and litter picking
· Apple picking and support during estate events
· Seine net fishing (seasonal)
· Assisting external contractors with estate works
· Other Duties
· If you are available, and if required, you may be called to arrange emergency maintenance anywhere on the Estate out of hours if necessary.
Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Estate
Due to the location of the role you must be able to travel independently to the New Forest as public transport is limited
