Start Date

If you like helping people, enjoy staying organised, and want a job where you know what your day looks like, this could be a great fit.

We’re Orange Moon Training and @Home Childcare. One side delivers training in early years, education and residential care. The other helps people become registered childminders.

Together, we train, support and champion the professionals who give children the best start in life.

We get a lot of enquiries, from parents, childminders, apprentices, employers and learners, and you’ll be the first person many of them speak to. By phone, email or through our website, you’ll help them get what they need or pass them on to the right person. You’ll also keep things organised behind the scenes so nothing gets missed.

What the job involves:

This is a steady, office-based role. You’ll be based at our Nottingham office full time (Monday to Friday). The job has routine, but it’s not repetitive. Every day brings a different mix of enquiries and tasks to keep track of.

We’ll support you as you learn the ropes, but you’ll also be expected to take responsibility for keeping things running and staying on top of what’s coming in.

You’ll:

  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the right team
  • Reply to email and website enquiries, or pass them on with the right info
  • Log new enquiries in our CRM system
  • Send follow-up emails or standard information packs
  • Save and track forms and documents
  • Help keep inboxes tidy and messages up to date
  • Follow up on missing paperwork or outstanding information
  • Support the wider team with day-to-day admin tasks

You’ll suit this role if you:

You don’t need lots of experience. If you’ve done admin, reception or customer service before, that helps, but we’re mostly looking for someone with common sense, initiative and a willingness to learn.

  • Like a job with structure and clear expectations
  • Enjoy speaking to people and being helpful
  • Feel comfortable picking up the phone and writing clear emails
  • Can keep things organised, even when it’s busy
  • Don’t mind admin or working with systems — and like doing things properly
  • Prefer being in an office with other people around
  • Want a job that starts and ends on time, with no homework or late nights

What you’ll get:

  • A stable, 9–5, office-based role in Nottingham
  • A friendly, supportive team who’ll help you settle in
  • A routine that gives you structure without feeling stuck
  • The chance to be part of work that helps people move forward in their careers
  • Paid holidays, with the option to buy more
  • Support to build your skills if you want to grow into the role over time
  • The opportunity to travel worldwide through our Turing Scheme
  • Extensive CPD & qualification opportunities
