Overview of Role:
- Coordinate daily engineering activities.
- To monitor line performance and pro-actively rectify underperforming equipment by carrying out both mechanical and electrical fault-finding diagnostics.
- Carry out high level maintenance, including adjustments, replace or repair components and carry out major overhauls of equipment.
- Additionally, monitor equipment operating conditions, collect data, log and analyse results to maintain equipment in its optimum condition.
- Work cross functionally to deliver the team’s objectives.
The team member will be responsible a variety of processes, including:
- Lead shift team to deliver effective maintenance programme
- Provide technical feedback and root cause analysis on daily issues as they arise, completing RCA (Root cause analysis) & CI activities
- Lead daily performance review meetings
- Attend operational meetings, specifically SIC, as required and drive recommendations and actions in conjunction with production to facilitate effective maintenance
- Evaluate shift engineering activity by auditing unplanned work carried out by others
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards at all times
- Assist the Engineering Managers in ensuring all critical spares are in place
- Assist the Engineering Managers when required with projects from design to machinery selection, installation and commissioning
- Assist Engineering Managers to ensure site is fully compliant with Safety, Health and Environmental legislation
- Ensure optimal daily utilisation of engineers
- Assist in delivery of the Site Engineering Strategy
- Deputise for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager as required and support with other related duties as assigned
- Coordinate activities in cases of emergencies such as Fire Alarms or Chemical spillages
