Job Title: Enforcement Agent

Location: York and Humberside

Salary: £27,000 per annum (plus uncapped commission!)

Job Type: Permanent and Self Employed Opportunities Available.

Hours: Full-time. 40 hours per week. Flexibility to plan your working day.

The Role:

As an Enforcement Agent, you will be responsible for recovering unpaid debts including Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates, Road Traffic PCNs and Court Fines, on behalf of our clients. The role entails visiting debtors, discussing their accounts, and negotiating suitable payment solutions. Your role is vital to ensuring a fair and effective debt resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visiting residential and commercial properties to recover outstanding debt.
  • Negotiating repayment plans or collecting full payments
  • Explaining the purpose of your visit and offering solutions within legal and company guidelines
  • Establishing the debtors financial circumstances, capturing key income and employment information
  • Managing your own case portfolio and adhering to timescales
  • Maintaining detailed records and reporting accurate data
  • Organising and supervising the removal of goods in circumstances where debt cannot be recovered

What Were Looking For:

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Resilience and ability to handle challenging conversations
  • Self-motivated, with excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Target and results driven
  • Experience in the debt collection or Enforcement industry is desirable.
  • Experience of a target-driven role, lone-working or within the field is also desirable.

What We Offer (N.B. Permanent Staff):

  • Competitive salary - £27,000 basic salary per annum
  • Commission Uncapped commission opportunities based on performance.
  • Training and Qualifications Comprehensive training, including the TCoG Level 2 Qualification and a dedicated mentor in the field, ensuring you meet all legal and professional requirements.
  • Certification Support with obtaining and renewing your Enforcement Agent Certification.
  • Flexible Working 40 hours per week (over five days) with flexibility to plan each day to suit your lifestyle
  • Company Vehicle Fully expensed vehicle provided and available for personal use.
  • Annual Leave Allowance Generous annual leave allowance with average commission payments payable for up to 20 days per annum.

Essential Requirements:

  • Security Screening - You must pass a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Screening) prior to an offer of employment. This check verifies identity, UK Right to Work, employment history and unspent criminal convictions.
  • Driving License A full UK driving license is essential for the role.
