What you’ll do:

• Learn to maintain and repair electrical systems that keep the hospital running safely — from emergency lighting to motors and transformers.

• Work alongside experienced professionals, helping with planned maintenance and fixing equipment.

• Develop practical skills through hands-on experience with high and low voltage systems in a real healthcare environment.

• Gain knowledge about important health and safety standards while providing top-notch service to both hospital staff and patients.

What we’re looking for:

• You’ve got at least 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above — including Maths, English, and Science.

• You’re a great communicator and enjoy working with others.

• You’re flexible, proactive, and eager to learn new skills.

• You take pride in your work and can work independently when needed.

Location: Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including lates & weekends)
Reports to: Electrical Technical Manager

Salary: £7.55 p/h - £12.21 p/h (dependent upon age & experience)
