Friends Day Nursery, Saintfield are looking to recruit Early Years Assistants to join our team. The successful candidates will have a passion and motivation to enhance and develop learning experiences for children in our nursery.We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible individuals who have a genuine passion for caring for children. They need to have good communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team.
Duties:
- Care for children aged from birth to 11 years old.
- Establish good relationships with children and interact with them according to their individual needs.
- Establish good relationships with parents and carers.
- Work closely with the room supervisors, organising activities and resources to encourage learning through play.
- Undertake observations to promote and monitor children's development.
- To be aware of, and comply with, the settings policies and procedures, as well as have a comprehensive understanding of the minimum standards that provides the framework for the care we provide.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Supervisors/Management.

Qualifications/Experience:
Desirable Criteria:
- Minimum Level 2 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development or Playwork
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting.
- Paediatric First Aid
- Child Protection Training
If you do not currently hold a minimium Level 2 in Child Care, Learning and Development or Playwork, you must be willing to be enrolled within the course. For eligble candidates it completion of the qulaification can be undertaken through a fully funded apprenticeship.
Due to minimium standard legislation, all candidates must be a minimium of 18 years old.
