Salary: From £55,516 (depending on experience)
Location: Peterlee, County Durham

Caterpillar Peterlee is the worldwide source of Cat® Articulated Trucks, currently producing a 7-model range used in many industries including mining, construction and aggregates. The facility's manufacturing activities use the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology and automated dump body paint plant. Machines from the site are shipped to customers around the world.
The Opportunity
As a Regional Product Application Specialist, you will support go-to-market initiatives and sales execution as a subject matter expert of Construction Haulers, including Articulated Trucks and Wheel Tractor-Scrapers. You’ll work directly with Caterpillar Sales Reps, Account Managers and Dealers to deliver Value Selling, Training and Product Expertise related to Construction Haulers. You’ll have a variety of experiences ranging from travelling throughout the EAME region to visit our Dealers & Customers where they work, serving as the Window for your Region to our Research and Development teams providing action oriented “Voice of the Customer” to shape the future of our product offerings.
You’ll work as part of a Global Team helping to shape the future of the world.
What You Will Do
Providing product application expertise at point of sale, or by delivering various types of product training including applied technology, job efficiency, and safety to customers, company and dealers' sales personnel.
Conduct product performance studies, assess customer job sites efficiency, collecting product and customer requirements in order to create input for product improvement process and new product introduction programs.
Skills You Will Have:
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Level Extensive Experience:
- Engages appropriate engineering resources to effectively resolve technical issues as they arise within their Region of coverage.
Evaluates job site & job site conditions to develop technical analysis that supports conclusions for Cost per Ton & Cost per Hour recommendation to help Customers maximize their Return on Investment.
Provides guidance & support to Dealers & Customers to select the right Hauler for their project / job / site
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Has working understanding of complementary loading tools and support equipment working with Haulers

Hours: Full Time - 36.50, 5 days in the Peterlee facility.
Travel: Not associated with this Role
