Duke of Edinburgh Freelance Instructor

The Duke of Edinburgh programme is hugely valued at King Edward VI school and plays a big part in the co-curricular programme. We actively encourage pupils to engage with the scheme, to stretch and challenge themselves in ways that help them develop personal qualities that will serve them so well in adult life. There are high levels of participation at Bronze and Silver levels at the School with some pupils also achieving the Gold award. Bronze Expeditions take place in the New Forest. Silver and Gold expedition regions include Dartmoor, Lake District, Peak District, Elan Valley and Snowdonia.
