Driver/Maintenance Operative
Role:
To provide a driver/courier service between offices and for ad-hoc requests for transportation of bundles etc. As part of day to day driving duties, to be available to provide maintenance of fixtures, fittings etc. within capabilities, carrying out simple DIY tasks. Vehicle provided including fuel costs and maintenance of vehicle. Must have a clean UK driving license.
The right person for this role, will be motivated and driven, a good self-starter, reliable and professional.
As a multi drop off and pick up Driver, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for efficiently and safely delivering confidential items to multiple locations. With core expertise in driving, you will navigate routes, manage time effectively, and ensure timely deliveries and collections.
Responsibilities:
Driving and deliveries:
- Working to a set daily route where possible to collect and drop confidential information between offices, communicating with members of staff if planned route is changed.
- Delivery of stationery from central store to outer offices on request and recording stock levels, informing Partners when stocks depleting.
- Collection of confidential waste from outer offices to central point and ensure information shredded and disposed of in a timely manner, replacing shredding bags where necessary.
- Collection of all files to be billed from outer offices and drop at head office within deadlines for billing i.e. 20th of each month.
Maintenance:
- Maintaining a small stock of light bulbs/fittings and replacing where necessary.
- Day to day DIY across all 7 offices i.e. carrying out works identified within H&S assessments and Partners meetings.
Other duties:
- Liaising with Fee Earners and Partners if conflicting requests in order to help prioritise workload.
- Any other duties which are in the reasonable opinion of the firm, ancillary or conducive to the role and responsibilities as outlined above.
