Job Summary
Strabane & District Caring Services is seeking compassionate people to provide support and assistance at home to individuals in need of care or support. Domiciliary Care Workers work as part of a team to provide personal and domestic care to adults at risk including the frail, elderly and those with mental and physical health issues in their own homes.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - FULL TRAINING PROVIDED!
Strabane & District Caring Services has part-time (16 hour) contracts available for Domiciliary Care Workers to provide care in the community in the CITYSIDE & WATERSIDE AREAS of Derry/Londonderry.

PART-TIME POSITIONS AVILABLE: Morning/Lunch: 7am-2pm, Afternoons 2pm-7pm, or Nights 7pm-11pm - OFFERS FLEXIBILITY TO THOSE SEEKING WORK/LIFE BALANCE!
Rotas are 4 days x 3 days
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun
Week 2: Wed, Thurs Fri
HIGHLY COMPETITIVE WAGES!
RATE OF PAY:
Weekends: Friday Nights and Saturday/Sunday (all runs): £14.15 PER HOUR
Monday-Thursday Bed (Night) runs: £13.15 PER HOUR
Monday-Friday for Morning/Lunch and Afternoon (Tea) runs: £12.60 PER HOUR
PLUS Mileage at 30p per Mile
Qualifications/ Experience:
Essential:
· A full valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.
· Good written and oral communication.
· Work as part of a team.
· Understanding of health and safety in the workplace. Able to promote and deliver personal care.
· Able to promote dignity and respect in care delivery.
· Carers must be flexible and able to cover additional hours when necessary.
Desirable:
· 6 months experience in formal care setting.
· NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent.
· NISCC registered or willing to undertake if successful.
· Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards.
Successful applicants must be willing to carry out Enhanced Access NI check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Strabane & District Caring Services. This will depend on the information provided and obtained from disclosure certificate, as well as the position applied for. Access NI Code of Practice is available from www.nidirect.gov.uk/publications/accessni-code-practice
Successful applicants will be required to register with NISCC by their start date.
