Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and reliable Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team at Pawesome Memories. You'll be responsible for looking after pets in the comfort of their own home, providing companionship, exercise, feeding, and lots of love.
Your role is essential in helping pet owners enjoy their time away, knowing their beloved pets are in great hands. After all, the Pawesome Family moto is "Loving care, when you’re not there..."
Duties
- Pet Care: Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, grooming (if needed), and administering any medication (if required)
- Companionship: Spend quality time with pets, engaging in activities like playtime, cuddling, and creating memorable moments
- House Sitting: While pet-sitting, ensure the pet's home is safe and secure, and help with light household tasks (e.g., bringing in mail, watering plants, etc.).
- Pet Safety: Monitor the pet’s health, behaviour, and well-being, and notify Pawesome Memories of any concerns or changes
- Pet Updates: Provide regular updates to pet owners through WhatsApp, photos, and videos, ensuring they have peace of mind while away
- Emergency Preparedness: Know what to do in case of an emergency, including understanding pet first-aid and having access to emergency contacts
Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about Animals: You must have a genuine love for pets and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care
- Experienced: Prior experience in pet sitting, dog walking, or animal care is preferred but not mandatory
- Responsible and Trustworthy: Ability to be relied upon by pet owners to care for their pets and home
- Flexible and Adaptable: Able to pick up bookings (Dog Walking up to 60 mins and Pet Sitting from 1 night to 1 week, 2 weeks or even 3 weeks)
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to provide updates and respond to pet owner inquiries promptly
- Physically Active: Able to handle physical tasks such as walking, playing, and lifting (if needed)
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a reliable means of transportation to visit clients' homes

Please note: Our clients are currently within the South-East of the UK and therefore must be either based within the area or happy to commute
