Summary
Goddiva is seeking an experienced Digital Pattern Cutter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate digital patterns from designer sketches, grading patterns to size, resolving technical garment construction challenges, and ensuring samples meet our exacting production standards.
Proficiency in Vetigraph and Optitex software is essential, alongside a thorough understanding of both woven and jersey fabrics and garment construction.
Responsibilities
- Develop initial patterns from designer sketches and blocks, ensuring readiness for production.
- Produce detailed technical drawings to address and resolve construction and finishing challenges.
- Amend and finalize production patterns to meet all design specifications.
- Participate in fit sessions, identify issues, and implement effective pattern corrections.
- Grade patterns across size ranges and prepare cut pieces for sample machinists.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to accurately translate creative concepts into patterns.
- Conduct quality checks on production samples to ensure adherence to design and fit standards.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in digital pattern cutting for both woven and jersey fabrics.
- Expertise in Vetigraph, Investronica, Gerber and Optitex software (mandatory).
- Comprehensive knowledge of garment construction and experience in garment making.
- Ability to produce precise technical drawings and resolve pattern-related challenges.
- Experience with industrial sewing and garment production is advantageous but not essential.
