We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dessert Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a flair for creating delightful desserts that enhance our menu offerings. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of desserts ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Follow recipes accurately while also being open to experimenting with new flavours and techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is essential, with a focus on dessert preparation preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required.
