We are seeking a motivated and reliable despatch operative to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in both the despatch of finished goods and the kitting of parts and materials for our production team. This dual-function role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Despatch Duties:
- Prepare, pack, and label finished goods for shipment to customers
- Generate despatch notes and relevant documentation
- Coordinate schedule with delivery team
- Maintain a clean and efficient despatch area
Kitting Duties:
- Accurately pick and assemble kits of components and materials for production jobs
- Cross-check against job sheets or BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Maintain stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies
- Work closely with the production and stores teams to ensure timely delivery of kits
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a despatch, warehouse, or logistics role (engineering) desirable
- Ability to read drawings desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Forklift licence (desirable, not essential)
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
