Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Development
• Recruit, induct, coach, and develop yard and office teams to meet company and customer expectations.
• Foster a high-performance culture through effective communication, engagement, and performance management.
• Drive team motivation using feedback, surveys, and recognition initiatives.
Operational Excellence
• Ensure smooth day-to-day running of yard and office within SLAs.
• Enforce health, safety, and company policies for all personnel on site.
• Deliver outstanding customer service through proactive problem-solving and consistent standards.
• Monitor and improve service levels, leading recovery plans when needed.
• Collaborate with the Facility Transport Manager to ensure seamless operations.
Commercial & Financial Focus
• Manage costs effectively, drive revenue, and meet or exceed financial targets.
• Promote cost awareness and accountability across the team.
• Address underperformance in service or behaviours and take corrective action.
Continuous Improvement
• Conduct audits and champion change initiatives to improve service delivery.
• Encourage innovation and share best practices across the team and wider business.
• Manage and communicate change to ensure it is embraced and embedded.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work collaboratively with regional and head office teams to support business goals.
• Build strong peer relationships to share knowledge and drive national success.
• Represent the facility effectively in regional meetings and initiatives.
