We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle.
- Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including logs and invoices.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and stock replenishment.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong ability to drive various vehicles, including vans and larger commercial vehicles.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Strong organisational skills to manage time efficiently and meet delivery schedules.
