Situated in North Worcestershire, Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council share services. The role is for a Multi skilled decorator - carrying out decorating, repairs and mould/damp treatments to our housing stock across Redditch Borough.
Key Requirements –
- to out plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance in residential properties
- carry out mould inspections, treatments , redecoration and maintenance to residential properties.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot causes of mould and advise timescales for remedial works. (training will be given.
- Undertake minor repairs associated with the root cause of damp and mould in properties.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain high levels of professionalism at all times
- work on various general maintenance tasks as required
Skills & experience -
- Relevant decorating qualifications and certification.
- Proven experience as a decorator with a minimum of 2 years experience in the industry
- Strong knowledge of decorating techniques, materials, finishing techniques and equipment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Competency or qualified in additional trades such as tiling and plastering etc.
