Customer Support & Booking Specialist
Are you someone who enjoys building real connections, putting people at ease, and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes? If you have great communication skills, empathy, and a naturally positive attitude, we’d love to hear from you.
At Penton Motor Group, we’re a family-run business that genuinely cares about our customers. Whether they’re in for a routine service or a follow-up after their MOT, we want every customer to feel confident, supported, and valued — and that starts with you.
This role would suit someone with life experience, warmth, and excellent attention to detail. You don’t need to know about cars — just how to make someone feel looked after.
What you'll be doing:
- Reaching out to customers by phone to remind them about upcoming services, MOTs, or recommended repairs
- Checking in after their visits to ensure everything went well and they’re happy with the service
- Managing bookings and helping coordinate our service schedules across different locations
- Responding to online customer enquiries and messages
- Providing friendly advice about service intervals and routine maintenance (full training provided)
- Suggesting helpful extras like service plans when appropriate
- Keeping our systems updated and records accurate
What we’re looking for:
- A natural communicator who enjoys helping people and making connections
- Someone with patience, understanding, and a genuine customer-first attitude
- Organised and reliable — you enjoy keeping things running smoothly
- Happy to pick up the phone and have a friendly chat with customers
- Comfortable using multiple systems and open to learning new tools
- A positive, down-to-earth team player
What you’ll get in return:
- A supportive, welcoming team that feels more like family
- A free week’s holiday in Cornwall every year (after qualifying period)
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus your birthday off (pro rata)
- Competitive pay and a stable, long-term opportunity
- Company pension, cycle to work scheme, and staff discounts
- Branded workwear and full in-house training provided
If you’ve worked in customer service, hospitality, healthcare — or just have a natural flair for making people feel looked after — this could be a great fit.
To apply, please send us your CV and a short note about yourself. We can’t wait to hear from you.
