Summary
As a Cross Team Support Worker at Stella Maris Care Home and Convent, you will play a vital role in assisting our residents with daily activities. Your contributions will be to help create a supportive atmosphere that promotes dignity, respect, and independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Take an active part in the smooth running of the convent and care home by working to the high standards we hold.
- Work with housekeeping to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene within the convent (2 x 5 hours every week - regular shifts)
- Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
Requirements
- Experience as a support worker is preferred.
- Registered with Social Care Wales preferred
- Minimum qualification - Level 2 QCF in Health & Social Care
- A strong work ethic, reliable and conscientious.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to interact with empathy and patience.
- A caring attitude towards elderly individuals, particularly those with dementia.
