Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role demands strong numerical and negotiation abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications, and excellent communication skills for effective phone-based interactions.
Responsibilities
As a Credit Controller at Greenmill, your role is central to our company's financial health and growth. You will:
- Manage debt recovery through phone, email & WhatsApp communications.
- Assess and respond to new credit requests, approving or denying based on predetermined criteria.
- Handle customer enquiries, secure remittance details, acquire proof of delivery, and reissue invoices/credit notes as necessary.
- Maintain regular customer contact, arrange payment plans, promote consistent payment habits, and process card payments over the phone.
- Post customer payments to the CRM, ensuring the customers’ accounts are always up to date.
- Look for sales opportunities and threats, working in collaboration with our sales team.

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year in a Credit Control position or Customer Experience role
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Sound judgement and intuitive decision-making skills.
