We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Credit Controller to join our friendly team at DS Smith in Caerphilly. You’ll play a key role in making sure our customers pay on time, helping us keep cash flow strong and supporting our senior management team with clear reporting.
Our customers are based all over the world and rely on us for their packaging and recycling solutions – you’ll make sure they can trust that everything runs smoothly when it comes to payment.
In this role you’ll:
- Look after your own portfolio of customer accounts, making sure payments are received on time.
- Carry out collections in line with our Group Credit Policy.
- Resolve customer invoice queries quickly and effectively.
- Maintain sales ledgers, prepare monthly statements, and reconcile accounts.
- Keep on top of overdue debt and help the team meet cash targets.
- Suggest improvements to make our credit control processes even better.
About you
We’re looking for someone who’s confident, organised, and enjoys building great relationships with customers.
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience in B2B Credit Control & Collections.
- A strong track record of reducing aged debt and handling disputes.
- Good numeracy skills with the ability to analyse reports and data.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Strong IT skills – Excel and SAP experience would be a bonus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive approach to improving processes and driving efficiencies.
It’s a bonus if you also have:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Shared Services experience.
