Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Grampian Coffee House. The ideal candidate will have an ability to multi task, great work ethic, ability to prioritise tasks and be experienced in food preparation.
Duties include:
- Prepare basic meals including breakfast and lunch
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen including completing cook safe book
- Assist in placing orders by checking inventory
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Cook in a fast paced kitchen is essential
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and procedures- training will be given where required
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with front of house
Minimal preparation work is required as all baking, soup, sides and quiche is taken fresh from our sister company Threaplands each morning.
You will be expected to cook and serve breakfast and lunch with some prep required for sandwich fillings/ baked potatoes & fresh cut chicken goujons. Meals should be prepared with attention to detail serving the best possible quality.
We do not have split shifts or evening work with the hours being roughly between 8.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. over 5 days each week Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends will be required for holiday cover.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a light hearted team, be calm and reliable.

Pay: £13.25 per hour
