Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Cook/server. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in creating delicious meals. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and that our guests enjoy high-quality dining experiences.
Experience
basic cook experience would be advantageous, but not essential as full training can be given.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established easy recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Clean and organise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure efficiency and safety during meal preparation.
- Participate in training sessions in knowledge of food safety practices.
Skills
- Experience advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within a restaurant environment. Again not essential as training can be given to achieve level 2 food hygiene.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff members.
- Serve customers/wait on customers and have great customer service.
- Work the till along with cashing up at the end of the day if required.
