Location: The Thirsty Farmer, Whimple.
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Full-Time Cook to join our kitchen team and prepare high-quality meals in line with established recipes and guidelines. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for cooking, performs well under pressure, and is comfortable managing daily food preparation in a fast-paced environment.
You will contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen and ensure that food is served promptly and to the expected standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to set menus, dietary requirements, and portion sizes.
- Consistently follow recipes and presentation specifications.
- Ensure food is prepared efficiently and safely, in accordance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment (e.g. ovens, fryers, slicers, mixers) safely and correctly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, mixing, and plating.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Stock and rotate ingredients to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
- Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate meal service.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries appropriately.
- Comply with all food safety and workplace health regulations.
