Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Conference & Banqueting Manager to oversee the planning and execution of events within our establishment. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional guest experiences through effective management of conference and banqueting services. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of conference and banqueting operations, ensuring seamless execution of events from start to finish.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, including upselling additional services where appropriate.
- Coordinate with various departments, including catering, housekeeping, and front-of-house staff to ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Oversee event logistics, including room setup, audio-visual requirements, and catering arrangements.
- Monitor event budgets and ensure financial targets are met while maintaining quality service standards.
- Provide exceptional guest services throughout the event lifecycle, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a coordination role within the hospitality industry, preferably in conference and banqueting settings.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
- Proven experience in upselling services and enhancing guest satisfaction through superior service delivery.
- Background in restaurant or hotel operations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members alike.
