Position Purpose
The Compliance Manager will be assisting the Compliance Officer in the implementation of the company’s compliance management system and the company's data protection management system. The role will support the company’s continued compliance with legislation and corporate requirements. The Compliance Manager will play a significant role in supporting the Compliance Officer to ensure that the company’s compliance risks are identified and appropriately mitigated.
Position Responsibilities
- Carrying out business partner checks (e.g. suppliers, resellers etc)
- Collecting relevant data via the IT tool (Vantage)
- Independent evaluation and assessment of business partners
- Escalation of assessment results to the Compliance Officer as appropriate
- Supporting the identification of compliance risks and assisting with the development of mitigation actions
- Supporting the delivery of compliance related training and communications
- Create new and amend existing internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and corporate requirements
- Advising employees on typical day-to-day compliance related topics (gifts & hospitality, conflicts of interest, data protection etc.)
- Support with internal investigations and audits

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Experience & Educational Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of UK data protection legislation is desirable but not essential
- Experience of creating and implementing policies and controls
- Ability to work well under pressure and appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information
- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels and disciplines
- A strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, directing and advising other functions on compliance topics
- previous experience working in a legal, audit or compliance role required
