We are a well-established precision engineering firm based near Walsall, specialising in the production of high-precision components for a wide range of industries. Due to continued business growth, we’re looking to add an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator to our team—ideally with strong knowledge of Mazatrol and Fanuc controls, and experience on Citizen Lathes. Programming skills are a plus and will be highly valued.
Your Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC lathes using Mazatrol and Fanuc control systems (Citizen experience preferred)
- Interpret technical and engineering drawings accurately
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using appropriate measuring tools
- Adjust tooling, speeds, feeds, and offsets to ensure optimal quality and productivity
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to support continuous improvement
- Perform minor program edits; full programming ability is a distinct advantage
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner Setter/Operator
- Proficient in Mazatrol and Fanuc control systems
- Experience with Citizen Lathes (highly desirable)
- Confident reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
- Quality-driven with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Programming knowledge is desirable
