Join a leading civil engineering contractor on a high-profile highways project. We are looking for a Civils & Groundworks Site Supervisor to lead and manage a team of operatives on all aspects of groundwork and civils activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead operatives on site.
- Co-ordinate tasks including drainage, kerbing, ducting, concrete and tarmac works.
- Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
- Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and enforce health & safety protocols.
- Liaise with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress and report to the contracts manager.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
Requirements:
- Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- CSCS Black/Gold card (Foreman/Supervisor level)
- Streetworks
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Proven experience as a working foreman on civils/groundworks projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of site health & safety procedure
Desirable Skills:
- Experience on infrastructure, highways, or large-scale civils projects
- Confident reading site drawings and setting out works
- Ability to manage materials and resources efficiently
