We are looking for amazing Choir Leaders to join our growing team of musicians and open brand new choirs around the UK.
Job type: Freelance
Pay: £100 per 90-minute rehearsal
Hours: 4 evenings per week (term time – 30 weeks per year)
Area: Choir venues in Bedford, Cambridge, Huntingdon & Wellingborough
About Us
The Buskerteers Choir is a network of community choirs with a clear mission: to make singing accessible, build friendships, and raise money for charity. Since 2020 we’ve grown to 28 choirs, 1,500 members, and have raised almost £200,000 for good causes.
We’re looking for confident vocalists who play guitar or piano to lead choirs in their area. In this case, we’re looking for someone to take over 4 existing choirs. You don’t need choir-leading experience—just strong musical skills, a positive approach, and enthusiasm for bringing people together.
What You’ll Do
- Lead weekly 90-minute rehearsals (Mon–Thurs evenings)
- Teach harmonies by ear (no sheet music required)
- Organise end-of-term gigs to raise money for charity and celebrate your choirs' achievements
- Create a welcoming, inclusive space for singers of all abilities
What We’re Looking For
- Strong vocalist and guitarist/pianist
- Friendly, approachable, and encouraging personality
- Comfortable teaching and leading groups
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
