Overview
A Personal Assistant is needed to support a young adult with autism in developing independence and everyday life skills such as cooking, shopping, and managing routines. The role involves providing patient, practical guidance, encouraging safe use of kitchen equipment and budgeting for shopping. The PA should be reliable, empathetic, and able to communicate clearly. Experience of working with autism is desirable but not essential – the most important qualities are patience, understanding, and a person-centred approach.
