Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care while adhering to care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each client, adjusting as necessary based on their evolving requirements.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a similar environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them diligently is essential.
- A caring disposition with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing client needs are important attributes for candidates.
