We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Night Shift Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to residents during overnight hours. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents while maintaining a calm and secure environment throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and repositioning residents as needed
- Monitor residents throughout the night and respond promptly to call bells or signs of distress
- Carry out regular checks and maintain accurate records of care and observations
- Support residents with bedtime routines and ensure a peaceful sleep environment
- Assist with early morning routines including waking, washing, and preparing for the day
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in resident rooms and communal areas
- Report any concerns regarding residents’ health or wellbeing to senior staff
- Uphold dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times
- Previous experience in a care setting (preferred but not essential)
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it
- Ability to work independently and remain alert during night hours
- Kind, patient, and empathetic nature
