Duties
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Implementing and following individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Communicating effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Supporting residents with mobility and physical activities as required.
- Documenting changes in residents' conditions and reporting them to senior staff members.
- Engaging residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
- A caring and patient disposition with a genuine desire to help others.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
