Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in our care home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities and help implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help with meal preparation and assisting residents as required at mealtimes.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Implement care plans effectively while respecting the dignity and privacy of clients.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Attend social outings when necessary.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes. We use Nourish & Emar systems.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home setting is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
- A good understanding of care plans and the ability to communicate effectively in English is required.
- NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
- Familiarity with IT systems will be beneficial for maintaining accurate records and communication within the team, especially Nourish & Emar systems.
