Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality care, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
GMD Homecare is registered with the Care Inspectorate and has become one of the leading providers of Homecare in South Lanarkshire.
If you are interested in joining our team you will participate in an in-depth induction programme that includes training in Manual handling, Administering of medication, Adult protection, and infection control. New staff then go on to shadow experienced staff on shift; this allows staff the time & opportunity to gain the correct experience, knowledge & understanding to deliver the high quality of care that our clients deserve. All our staff are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a community based Social Care Service.
You do not need previous experience to become a support worker with GMD, as we provide full training.

Essential Criteria includes
- A valid driving licence & access to own care is required
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
