About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents by delivering person-centred care in a respectful, dignified, and safe environment. You’ll assist with personal care, support mobility, and promote well-being through social interaction and companionship.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).
- Assisting with mobility and use of aids or equipment.
- Helping residents with meals and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Encouraging participation in social activities and hobbies.
- Maintaining clear and accurate care records.
- Reporting any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff.
- Following individual care plans, always promoting dignity and respect.
- Maintaining a clean, safe environment by following health & safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a care role (residential or nursing home) is desirable but not essential.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred but not required).
- A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety procedures.
- A flexible, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
