Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment, demonstrating barista skills to create quality beverages.
- Assist in food preparation, including cutting, assembling, and presenting dishes in an appealing manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Handle cash transactions with basic math skills to ensure accurate billing.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred, particularly in barista roles.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain hygiene standards.
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and providing change accurately.
