Job Summary
As a Cafe/Shop Assistant, you'll be the face of TOAST – welcoming customers, preparing quality food and drinks, and keeping our space clean, vibrant, and inviting. If you're passionate about café culture, enjoy engaging with people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all customers and take orders with accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, light meals, and snacks to café standards
- Maintain a clean and organised café/shop area, including counters, tables, and equipment
- Assist with restocking shelves and supplies in both the café and retail areas
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately in both the café and shop
- Provide menu guidance and product information to customers
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times
- Collaborate closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient service, especially during peak hours
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a café, retail, or hospitality setting is a plus, but not essential
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- A genuine passion for great customer service and quality food/drink
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
