Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Butcher to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety standards.
You will be responsible for processing various types of meat and a range of meat products like sausage, links and burgers.
Ensuring high-quality cuts, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene in the kitchen environment. Preparing orders, wrapping, pricing and packing customer orders.
Creating interesting display cabinet ideas. Preparing oven ready meals and easy dining dishes. Following recipes and maintaining standards whilst encouraging the team in new ideas.
Duties
- Prepare and cut meat according to specifications
- Preparing customer orders and working within a team to wrap, price and pack orders.
- Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area and equipment
- Collaborate with the team on standard product requirements
- Provide excellent customer service by answering queries regarding meat products and preparation methods
Skills
- Proven experience as a Butcher
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Proficiency in various cutting techniques and equipment operation
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team
- A passion for food production

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
