Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. As a Butcher at Edgefield Craft Butchers, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting a variety of meats, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation for our clients. You will work closely with our team to meet specific customer requirements, ensuring that each order is prepared to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cut beef, pork, lamb, poultry, game, and other meats according to customer specifications
- Ensure quality and consistency across all cuts and products, maintaining the highest standards
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and communicate needs to management
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and handle equipment with care
- Collaborate with the team to improve processes and ensure efficient order fulfillment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Butcher, ideally within a catering or wholesale environment
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and handling practices
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and with precision
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Familiarity with food hygiene and safety standards
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude
