Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Bread/Pastry Baker. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and production of high-quality bread items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in baking and food safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread and pastries following a set of in-house recipes ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and efficient workflow.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in regular kitchen maintenance and cleaning tasks to uphold hygiene standards.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bread and pastry baking within a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and baking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Must have Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Previous bakery experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends as needed.
