Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring that all financial transactions are processed efficiently. This role is crucial in supporting our financial health and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as Sage.
- Process accounts payable, including verifying invoices and preparing payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets as required.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organisation's financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A relevant qualification in finance or accounting would be advantageous but not essential.
